When not writing, reading, or working, Andrea Barbosa travels in search of history, museums, and adventures, which she usually incorporates into her stories. Her flash fiction, short stories, and poems have appeared in several anthologies and journals including the Southern Pacific Review, and Flash Fiction Magazine. Her poetry collection won Reader’s Favorite silver medal, and she has earned other accolades in flash fiction and mystery. She has also been published in an anthology of short stories alongside Hugo Award nominee Jim Butcher.
She served several years as VP and Press Director for the Houston Writers Guild, as Flash Fiction Editor for The Ocotillo Review Literary Journal, and as a Board Member for Kallisto Gaia Press. She writes contemporary romance as Andrya Bailey.
